Management Change at Bomin

The performance of the Bomin Group to date has fallen short of expectations. Against this background, Mabanaft has decided to reorganize the management. Peter Schreiber, Co-Managing Director of Bomin Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG with Thomas Roller, is leaving the company.

Since Mabanaft’s acquisition of Bomin (then Bominflot) in June 2012, good progress has been made on its integration. However, the market environment in the bunkering business remains difficult, and the company’s performance is still unsatisfactory. As Mabanaft continues to see great potential in bunkering, Bomin will from now on focus on optimizing the core business and further intensifying its customer orientation as well as the collaboration between Bomin and Mabanaft.

Owing to differences of opinion regarding the company’s future direction, Managing Director Peter Schreiber is leaving the company with immediate effect. Peter Schreiber worked for Bomin for more than 15 years and made a formative contribution to the company’s expansion with his personal commitment. Mabanaft would like to thank him for all his efforts during this time.

Julio Tellechea, Managing Director Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG and a member of the Marquard & Bahls AG Executive Board, will manage the bunkering company’s business together with the present Managing Director Thomas Roller, until such time as a successor is appointed. During the transitional stage, Julio Tellechea will also act as Management Spokesman in addition to serving as Managing Director.
