New Joint Leadership at Bomin

Seven months after closing of the acquisition of Bomin by Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG, the merger of the existing bunkering activities of the subsidiary Matrix with the new acquired business has been completed successfully. Mabanaft today announces a reorganization of the management of the Bomin Group. Effective February 1, 2013, Bomin will have a new joint leadership consisting of the current Managing Director Peter Schreiber and Thomas Roller who will be appointed Managing Director as well.

The acquisition of the Bomin Group in September 2011 (at that time still named Bominflot) represents a quantum leap for Mabanaft, which is now among the world’s largest bunkering providers. There is great potential in the bunker business and Mabanaft is planning to further expand its activities in this sector.

In the course of the integration process and to be best prepared for further growth, Mabanaft decided to reorganize the management of the Bomin Group. The new structure will have two Managing Directors consisting of Peter Schreiber and Thomas Roller. Peter Schreiber will be in charge of International Trading, the Americas, the Mediterranean, Middle East and Far East. He will also be the Spokesman of the Management and guide the company in strategic issues and business development. Thomas Roller will have responsibility for North West Europe, finance & administration, risk management, organization and integration issues.

As a consequence of these changes Norbert Krupp, Bomin’s current Chief Financial Officer, will leave the company with immediate effect. Norbert Krupp has worked for Bomin for 14 years and has significantly contributed to the growth of Bomin. The company thanks Norbert Krupp for his commitment and achievements during this time.

With the new joint leadership, Bomin is well prepared to take on the existing and future challenges in the bunker business.
